Description
Dat little girl with the long hair is Keeari at about 9, right before she beats her first challenger. She was raised around swords and was left alone with them a lot. She was either doing chores or being ignored growing up, so she spent a lot of time whacking trees with the swords left in the forge. It became her only pass-time, she was not educated, she was not trained, but she had raw talent from practicing with them for so long. The boy who's ass she is about to kick is only 7 at the time, but he needed a whooping. And he got it. But then the other boys in town heard of the serious ass-kicking that went down, and they all began to line up to take her on. The nine year old girl beat ten year old boys. Then eleven year olds, then twelve year olds, then fourteen year olds, then sixteen year olds, up until she eventually turned twelve and she took on four seventeen year old boys in a row. She was beating boys from out of town, come to take her on in her spare time. She showed them all. Some of the boys had even had professional training, and still, she managed to come out on top.
Her hard work and perseverance made her infamous among the boys in town. None could defeat the little half-blood brat. That is until she met someone far beyond her in skill and power >

I read the description and the wording made me think, at first, that was the biggest 7 year old who ever walked the face of the earth! But then further down it suggested that was older Keeari. Little confusing to those of use who read almost or sooner than we see sometimes.
I've been commenting on a few pieces today and sometimes these things color each other when you do that. An earlier comment had me thinking of sword suits like the Jack of Diamonds with his two swords one going point down and one going point up. And here we are with a piece shaped about like a card with one sword going point up and one going point down.
You have a feel for these pieces with an odd harmoniously balanced dichotomy. (Havenwic had some pieces like that too. Maybe its a thing that rubbed off from one to the other, a common set of likes, or the water... shrugs) Anyway you occasionally crank out these yin yang type symbols.

Up Down. Young to Older. Small to Large. Challenging and obstinate to Someone who has found someone they can respectfully submit to. (that's as much from your text but a little of it is in the picture as well)
